Is that extremely rare person who had a childhood dream and actually willed it into reality. From age 11, he knew he was destined to design shoes. The avid track runner and sneaker enthusiast began his career in the mail room of the UK’s premiere running shoe retailer, while earning his degree in Sports Science and Art. He then spent 15 years in Mizuno’s running division, first in their UK office and later opening the company’s design studio in Portland, Oregon. During his tenure at Mizuno, his designs earned multiple industry awards, including more than 20 from Runner’s World magazine.
His success propelled him to become Under Armour’s Creative Director of running footwear, where he helped build the fledgling brand into powerhouse competitor of long-established brands like Nike and New Balance.
He continues to challenge convention with his work and hopes to one day incorporate his strange obsession with great white sharks into his designs.
